South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - November 17, 2000 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />g. Commission approval requested for a <br />Contract with the Urban Enterprise <br />Association of South Bend, Inc. for grant <br />administration in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area. <br />Mr. Laurent explained that the Urban Enterprise <br />Association received a grant for $11,200 to do a <br />Phase I Environmental Assessment to be <br />performed at the Studebaker Corridor Area "A ". <br />He noted that the contract allows for the Grant <br />to be administered by the Department of <br />Redevelopment. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by <br />Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Contract with the <br />Urban Enterprise Association of South Bend, <br />Inc. for grant administration in the Sample - <br />Ewing Development Area. <br />h. Commission approval requested for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. (Architectural <br />services, Le Peep Restaurant) <br />Mr. Giulioni noted that Forum Architects is the <br />architect hired by LePeep Restaurant for its <br />improvements to the retail space. We would <br />like to use the same company for the <br />improvements we are responsible for so that the <br />work can be done as expeditiously as possible to <br />meet the February 1, 2001 opening date. He <br />noted that Forum Architects proposal is an <br />amount not to exceed $5,050. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by <br />Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the proposal from Forum <br />-7- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE CONTRACT <br />WITH THE URBAN ENTERPRISE <br />ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH BEND, INC.
