South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - September 15, 2000 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />c. Commission approval requested for proposal <br />for professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. (Environmental <br />services related to the Design Packaging <br />property, 600 N. Niles) <br />Mr. Giulioni explained that the proposal is for <br />the disposal of five (5) waste drums that are <br />located on the Design Packaging property. He <br />noted that the staff received a proposal from <br />ESI /SER Ecological System's Inc. in the amount <br />of $455.00 for appropriate removal of the barrels. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, seconded by <br />Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the proposal for <br />professional services in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. (Environmental services <br />related to the Design Packaging property, 600 N. <br />Niles) <br />d. Commission approval requested for Contract <br />for the Sale/Purchase of Real Estate with <br />Indiana Michigan Power Company. (formerly <br />Indiana & Michigan Electric Company) <br />Ms. Greene explained that the contract is <br />between the Commission and Indiana & <br />Michigan Power Company relating to property <br />located near the jail site. She stated that the <br />contract calls for the Commission to purchase the <br />property in the amount of $7,750.00. <br />Ms. Greene noted that there is currently in place <br />a right of entry for all of the construction crews, <br />which allows them to enter onto the site, so that <br />they can stage forward on the jail construction. <br />She explained that the current right of entry <br />expires on October 1, 2000 and she asked for the <br />Commission's authority to finalize an agreement <br />relating to a temporary right of entry that would <br />be effective until the entire site is assembled. <br />W <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE PROPOSAL <br />FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE <br />SOUTH BEND CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT <br />AREA (ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES <br />RELATED TO THE DESIGN PACKAGING <br />PROPERTY, 600 N.
