OLD BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />d. continued... <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, seconded by COMMISSION APPROVED THE REQUEST TO <br />PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF INTENDED LEASE <br />Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request to publish the <br />Notice of Intended Lease of Property in the <br />South Bend Central Development Area with <br />publication dates of September 22, 2000 and <br />September 29, 2000, and receipt of Bids at <br />10:00 a.m on October 20, 2000. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Commission approval requested for Fifth <br />Amendment to Lease with American Partners <br />L.P. (Osco Drug Mart) <br />Mr. Giulioni noted that the Commission owns <br />the building at 128 S. Michigan St. in which the <br />downtown Osco Drug Mart is located. The space <br />measures 11,843 sq. ft and currently leases at a <br />rate of $3.84 per sq. ft. He explained that the <br />agreement will effectively continue the terms of <br />the existing lease with American Partners L.P. <br />for an additional two (2) years. <br />OF PROPERTY IN THE SOUTH BEND <br />CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA WITH <br />PUBLICATION DATES OF SEPTEMBER 22, <br />2000 AND SEPTEMBER 29, 2000, AND RECEIPT <br />OF BIDS AT 10:00 A.M. COLFAX AVE., <br />LEASE AREA #2, PALAIS ROYALE RETAIL <br />SPACE) <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by COMMISSION APPROVED THE TERMS OF THE <br />LEASE AGREEMENT WITH AMERICAN <br />Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, the PARTNERS L.P. AS OUTLINED (OSCO DRUG <br />Commission approved the terms of the Lease MART) <br />Agreement with American Partners L.P. as <br />outlined. (Osco Drug Mart) <br />b. Staff report on acquisition of property in the <br />South Bend Central Development Area. <br />(Crowe Chizek Expansion Acquisition, Part of <br />Parcel C7 -1; Parcel A; Parcel B; Parcel C; <br />and Parts of Parcel C10 -1; Parcel D) <br />Mr. Giulioni asked that item 6.b be tabled.
