South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - August 18, 2000 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />a. continued... <br />Ms. Moran stated that the total amount of the <br />taxes to be paid is $2,108.23 and the total <br />amount of the taxes to be abated is $7,228.23. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, seconded by <br />Mr. Caldwell and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 1789, <br />approving an application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located at 2215 South <br />Olive Street in the Sample -Ewing Development <br />Area.(Jerry Zock) <br />b. Commission approval requested for letter <br />agreement terminating an existing lease <br />agreement with Office Interiors in the South <br />Bend Central Development Area. (Palais <br />Royale retail space) <br />Mr. Giulioni stated that the agreement will <br />terminate the lease with Office Interiors as of <br />August 18, 2000. He noted that the company is <br />in the process of moving and work will be begin <br />to prepare space for the Morris Offices and for <br />future tenants in the Palais retail space. <br />Ms. Greene noted that the existing lease runs <br />until October 2000. The agreement will let <br />Office Interiors out of their lease without <br />penalty. She stated that the company asked that <br />the rent already paid for August be pro -rated and <br />a portion be refunded to them. Ms. Greene <br />recommended that the request be granted. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by <br />Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the agreement <br />-4- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION <br />NO. 1789, APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR <br />REAL PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION FOR <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2215 SOUTH OLIVE <br />STREET IN THE SAMPLE -EWING <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA (JERRY ZOCK) <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE AGREEMENT <br />TERMINATING AN EXISTING LEASE <br />AGREEMENT WITH OFFICE INTERIORS IN <br />THE SOUTH BEND CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT <br />
