NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />h. continued... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by <br />Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for a Loan and <br />Grant in connection with the Affordable Loan <br />Program for property located at 115 N. Sadie. <br />(Charles Orgain) <br />i. Commission approval requested for proposal <br />for professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. (Appraisal of <br />Crescent Ave. Properties) <br />Mr. Giulioni gave a staff report on items 6.I, 6j, <br />61, 6.1, and 6.m. <br />Mr. Giulioni noted that this item was tabled at <br />the last meeting due to the unavailability of <br />appraisers who were to submit quotations. He <br />stated that only two submissions were provided. <br />The first was from Jerry E. Michaels for $1,500. <br />The second was from Gregory P. Barkley of Baer <br />Barkley & Co. for $2,500. Both appraisers are <br />MAI certified and both of the proposals are <br />within the rate which we would normally pay for <br />professional appraisal services. Two appraisals <br />are needed for each property.
