NEW BUSINESS (CON'T) <br />b. continued... <br />and Studebaker Corridor, Teachers Credit <br />Union, the One Michiana Square, American <br />Motors General, and McGladrey Pullen office <br />buildings, the re- opening of Michigan Street, <br />Coveleski Stadium, the Pointe at St. Joseph <br />Apartments, West Washington Homes, Central <br />High School Apartments, Stephenson Mill <br />Apartments, Blackthorn Golf Course, Blackthorn <br />Corporate Park, the College Football Hall of <br />Fame, Southeast Heritage Housing, the St. <br />Joseph County Juvenile Justice Center, the Boys <br />and Girls Club at Family and Children's Center <br />- Southeast, the new campus of Ivy Tech State <br />College, Robertson's Apartments, the Leighton <br />Plaza project and the Morris Performing Arts <br />Center; and <br />WHEREAS, during her tenure on the <br />Commission Ann often had to make some difficult <br />decisions that were not popular with all segments <br />of the community, but which she felt were vital <br />for South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, Ann was responsible for selling the <br />first Tax Increment Financing Bond in the State <br />of Indiana and played a significant role in <br />defending the TIF legislation in court; and <br />WHEREAS, Ann has never forgotten the public <br />that she serves, giving unselfishly of her time for <br />the betterment of the community with no concern <br />for individual honor or recognition; and <br />WHEREAS, Ann has now decided to retire and <br />devote time to her family and granddaughter and <br />is now retiring from her position with the <br />7 <br />
