South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - May 19, 2000 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />k. Commission approval requested for <br />Letter -of- Request to temporarily use <br />the parking lot adjacent to South <br />Street Station in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. <br />( TRANSPO) <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that a letter -of- request <br />was received from TRANSPO to <br />temporarily use the parking lot adjacent <br />to South Street Station in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. <br />She also stated that she talked to Mary <br />McLain and asked her if TRANSPO <br />would be willing to resurface the lot with <br />some landscaping around the edge. Ms. <br />Kolata stated that Ms. McLain stated that <br />TRANSPO would be willing to resurface <br />the lot with some landscaping around the <br />edge. <br />The staff recommends entering into a <br />short-term, on -going Agreement with <br />TRANSPO. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, seconded <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE LETTER -OF- <br />by Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, <br />REQUEST TO TEMPORARILY USE THE PARKING <br />the Commission approved the Letter -of- <br />LOT ADJACENT TO SOUTH STREET STATION IN <br />Request to temporarily use the parking lot <br />THE SOUTH CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA. (TRANSPO), SUBJECT TO TRANSPO PAVING, <br />adjacent to South Street Station in the <br />STRIPING AND LANDSCAPING THE LOT <br />South Central Development Area. <br />( TRANSPO), subject to TRANSPO <br />paving, striping and landscaping the lot. <br />Mrs. Kolata recommended that a formal <br />agreement be prepared and brought to the <br />Commission for final approval <br />-19- <br />
