South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - April 28, 2000 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />i. continued.... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by <br />Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the sale of land <br />Lot 14 to Indiana Supply Corporation <br />subject to: (1) The staff working with <br />Indiana Supply Corporation on <br />redesigning their site and landscaping <br />plans; (2) Indiana Supply Corporation <br />revising the commitment letter to express <br />a time of completion for the project; (3) <br />The developer submitting the 10 percent <br />performance guaranty in connection with <br />property in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area. <br />j. Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for professional services in <br />the South Bend Central Development <br />Area. (Old American Bank Building) <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that three proposals <br />were received to appraise the Old <br />American Bank Building at the corner of <br />Michigan and Washington. R.E. Pitts & <br />Associates' proposal was in the amount <br />of $3,750, Jerome E. Michaels' proposal <br />was in the amount of $4,000 and Richard <br />E. McCloskey's proposal was in the <br />amount of $4,500. The staff recommends <br />accepting the proposal from R.E. Pitts & <br />Associates. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, seconded <br />by Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission accepted the proposal <br />from R.E. Pitts & Associates in the <br />amount of $3,750.00 for professional <br />-11- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE SALE OF LAND <br />LOT 14 TO INDIANA SUPPLY CORPORATION <br />SUBJECT TO: (1) THE STAFF WORKING WITH <br />INDIANA SUPPLY CORPORATION ON <br />REDESIGNING THEIR SITE AND LANDSCAPING <br />PLANS; (2) INDIANA SUPPLY CORPORATION <br />REVISING THE COMMITMENT LETTER TO <br />EXPRESS A TIME OF COMPLETION FOR THE <br />PROJECT; (3) THE DEVELOPER SUBMITTING THE <br />10 PERCENT PERFORMANCE GUARANTY IN <br />CONNECTION WITH PROPERTY IN THE AIRPORT <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL FROM <br />R.E.
