NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />b. continued... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded <br />by Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission accepted the proposal <br />from Abro Facilities II, LLC for the <br />disposition of property in the Airport <br />Economic Development Area. <br />c. Commission approval requested for <br />Appeal on Size of Sign in connection <br />with Jake's Pizza in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that Jake's Pizza is <br />located in the JMS Building. Jake's <br />Pizza proposes to construct a sign on the <br />north wall of the building. The size of <br />the sign when added to the size of signs <br />already approved, exceeds the design <br />guidelines for the total area of signage. <br />The total amount of signage cannot <br />exceed 45 sf or 5 percent of a building <br />facade. With this sign, there would be <br />about 51 sf of signs. She also stated that <br />the Historic Preservation Commission <br />will consider the sign on Monday. The <br />staff recommends approving the sign, <br />subject to approval by the Historic <br />Preservation Commission. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded <br />by Ms. Jones and unanimously <br />carried,the Commission approved the <br />Size of the Sign in connection with <br />Jake's Pizza in the South Bend <br />-7- <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL FROM <br />ABRO FACILITIES II, LLC FOR THE DISPOSITION <br />OF PROPERTY IN THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />
