NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />y. continued... <br />The staff recommends accepting the <br />proposal in principal and having Brian <br />Steinke, attorney, draw up the Contract <br />for Sale of Land and bring it the <br />Commission for final approval. The <br />staff also recommends that River of <br />Life Family Church bring a more <br />detailed landscaping plan before the <br />Commission for its consideration. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, <br />seconded by Mr. Blake and <br />unanimously carried, the Commission <br />accepted the proposal from River of <br />Life Family Church to purchase the <br />310' x 165' parking lot at the corner of <br />Bronson and St. Joseph Streets in the <br />South Bend Central Development Area, <br />subject to receiving a more detailed <br />landscaping plan from the church and <br />execution of the Contract for Sale of <br />Land. <br />7. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mrs. Kolata reported that Esprit Decor <br />opened on September 27, 1999. <br />She also reported that on September 28, <br />1999, the Department of Redevelopment <br />closed with Teachers Credit Union on the <br />property at the southwest corner of <br />Michigan and Washington Streets. <br />-21- <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL FROM <br />RIVER OF LIFE FAMILY CHURCH TO PURCHASE <br />THE 310' X 165' PARKING LOT AT THE CORNER OF <br />BRONSON AND ST.
