South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - October 1, 1999 <br />7. PROGRESS REPORTS (CONT.) <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that Mayor Steve <br />Luecke made an announcement yesterday <br />on the funding for the 1999 Commercial <br />Corridor program. <br />She also stated that Dynamic Industries will <br />have a groundbreaking ceremony on <br />October 11, 1999, at 10:00 a.m., in the U.S. <br />31 Industrial Park. <br />Mrs. Kolata reported that the City of South <br />Bend hosted the Indiana Planning <br />Association Conference on September 29 <br />and 30, 1999. Owen Rock organized a tour <br />of the Blackthorn area to a group of people <br />from the Indiana Planning Association. <br />Alex Koenig was on an Indiana Planning <br />Association panel today, regarding our <br />commercial corridor program. <br />She also reported that the Historic <br />Preservation Commission has placed the <br />house at 501 W. Colfax under interim <br />protection for six months and is working to <br />have the house declared a historical <br />structure. <br />Mr. Hunt reported that Paula Auburn has <br />asked to be replaced as the Commission's <br />representative on the Blackthorn Owners' <br />Association. A motion was made by Mr. <br />Donoho, seconded by Mr. Blake and <br />approved, to appoint Mr. Faccenda as the <br />Commission's representative on the <br />Blackthorn Owners' Association, to take <br />her place on the Board of Directors and to <br />assume all of her responsibilities as <br />previously appointed. <br />C; -22- <br />
