NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />a. continued... <br />restaurant, dry cleaners, insurance office <br />etc. <br />Apex Properties, Inc. is not requesting tax <br />abatement for the proposed development <br />or any other monetary consideration. It is <br />the developer's intention to comply with <br />all federal, state and local laws and <br />ordinances. Local contractors will be used <br />for the construction and completion of the <br />site. The developer will encourage the <br />main anchor, 7- Eleven, and the other <br />tenants on the site to work with the Urban <br />Enterprise Association and its Zone <br />Resident Employment Program to place <br />qualified zone residents in jobs. <br />Mrs. Kolata presented Apex Properties' <br />site plan to the Commission for its <br />consideration. She explained that the <br />proposed 7- Eleven will face Sample Street <br />and the retail will face Main Street. <br />The second Bid was from Richard L. and <br />Karyn L. Best. The purchase offer was in <br />the amount of $33,550. The required ten <br />percent performance guarantee in the <br />amount of $3,355.00 was submitted. The <br />developers propose to construct a <br />combination building for a convenience <br />store and an Arby's Roast Beef restaurant <br />with an island for gasoline pumps. The <br />proposed building will 5,315 sf <br />constructed of brick and glass. There will <br />be a 5,096 sf canopy over the gasoline <br />island. <br />-5- <br />
