NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />p. continued.... <br />Ms. Schwartz stated that the Commission <br />does not have the authority to act today <br />and does not have the staff investigation <br />which it would need to act. She also <br />stated that the Commission is not in a <br />position today to direct the staff to act on <br />the variance. The Commission does not <br />want to act on variance requests on a case - <br />by -case basis and go outside of the <br />Architectural Design Review Standards. <br />Ms. Schwartz stated that the Commission <br />will direct the staff to review the Design <br />Review Standards in light of what Welsh <br />Oil has pointed out to the Commission <br />today; however, the Commission cannot <br />do more than that today. <br />Mr. Hunt stated that the Commission <br />would like the staff to review the Design <br />Review Standards and come back to the <br />March 5 Commission meeting with <br />recommendations. <br />Mr. Rock presented a drawing of John <br />Sullivan's proposed site plan to the <br />Commission for its consideration. <br />Mr. Rock stated that John Sullivan <br />proposes to build another building in the <br />Blackthorn Corporate Park approximately <br />the same size as his existing building. The <br />proposed building will be approximately <br />8,500 sf.
