Annual Organizational Meeting - January 8, 1999 <br />sets the maximum salaries for the <br />Redevelopment staff and appoints the staff. <br />Not everyone receives the maximum salary. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that there is a three percent <br />increase for each position and some of the <br />staff members have been promoted from one <br />position to another. The Redevelopment staff <br />consists of Mrs. Kolata and five Economic <br />Development Specialists. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Schwartz, seconded by <br />Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission adopted Resolution No. 1654 <br />setting the maximum salaries for 1999 and <br />appointing the Redevelopment staff. <br />5. SET REGULAR MEETING TIMES FOR <br />1999. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded by <br />AW <br />Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, the <br />Regular Meetings of the Redevelopment <br />Commission for 1999 were set for the 1 st and <br />3rd Friday of each month at 10:00 am. local <br />time. <br />6. 1998 ACCOMPLISHMENTS <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that 1998 was a very <br />productive year and provided a summary of <br />Redevelopment accomplishments. <br />South Bend Central Development Area <br />Construction on the Leighton Plaza Project is <br />continuing. It includes a 65,000 s.f. office <br />building, 88,000 s.f. Memorial Health -Plex <br />and parking garage containing 644 parking <br />spaces and 11,000 s.f. of retail space fronting <br />on Michigan Street. The parking garage <br />should be completed by February 28, 1999.
