NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />h. continued.... <br />stating that if there was an error made <br />which resulted in his property not <br />receiving the waivers, then he should call <br />the Bureau of Housing to have his <br />property properly evaluated to see if the <br />previous years could possibly be waived. <br />Ms. Thompson stated that Mr. Hancz <br />never responded to her letter. <br />She also stated that Mr. Hancz's property <br />was due for an annual inspection in <br />November 1998, when he contacted the <br />Bureau of Housing and stated that he <br />wished to sell his property at 1508 S. Scott <br />Street. He was informed at that time that <br />if he wished to have the inspection <br />conducted, then an appointment needed to <br />be set up. The appointment was <br />scheduled and Mr. Hancz did not show up. <br />He called the Bureau of Housing to claim <br />that there was a misunderstanding. At that <br />time, a second appointment was set up and <br />Mr. Hancz never showed up for that <br />appointment and never contacted the <br />Bureau of Housing. As a result, Mr. <br />Hancz's property did not receive a waiver <br />for 1998. <br />Ms. Thompson stated that the Bureau of <br />Housing has set guidelines, which state <br />that if anyone wishes to purchase a rental <br />rehab property, then that person must <br />apply with the Bureau of Housing. <br />At the time of the application, the person's <br />financial status and status with the Dept. <br />of Code Enforcement, as a property owner, <br />HAWPDATA \COMMSN\120498.MIN -9- <br />
