South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - August 7, 1998 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />a. continued.... <br />Mr. Hunt stated that the Commission wants <br />Welsh Oil to work with the staff regarding <br />the final landscaping site plan. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that the staff wants to <br />coordinate with Welsh Oil regarding an entry <br />sign to the U.S. 31 Industrial Park. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that the staff recommends <br />accepting Welsh Oil's proposal. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Blake, seconded by <br />Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission accepted the proposal from <br />Welsh Oil for disposition of property in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area, <br />subject to: (1) Welsh Oil working with the <br />staff regarding a more detailed landscaping <br />site plan. (2) Bringing the final landscaping <br />site plan before the Commission for its <br />consideration. (3) Working with the staff <br />regarding the U.S. 31 Industrial Park entry <br />sign. (4) Welsh Oil is to provide the <br />performance guarantee. <br />b. Staff report on disposition of property in <br />the Sample -Ewing Development Area. <br />The following staff report was presented to <br />the Commission for its consideration. <br />The proposal received was from A.C. Rich & <br />Company, Inc. to purchase Parcel 9A at the <br />northeast corner of Garst and Lafayette <br />Streets in the Studebaker Corridor. The <br />purchase offer was in the amount of $18,000, <br />and a performance guarantee of $1,800 (10 <br />HAWPDATA \C0MMSN\080798.MIN <br />-8- <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL <br />FROM WELSH OIL FOR DISPOSITION OF <br />PROPERTY IN THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA, SUBJECT TO: (1) <br />WELSH OIL WORKING WITH THE STAFF <br />REGARDING A MORE DETAILED <br />LANDSCAPING SITE PLAN. (2) BRINGING THE <br />FINAL LANDSCAPING SITE PLAN BEFORE THE <br />COMMISSION FOR ITS CONSIDERATION. (3) <br />WORKING WITH THE STAFF REGARDING THE <br />U.S. 31 INDUSTRIAL PARK ENTRY SIGN. (4) <br />WELSH OIL IS TO PROVIDE THE <br />PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE <br />
