South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - August 7, 1998 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />g. Commission approval requested for <br />proposals for appraisal of property located <br />in the South Bend Central Development <br />Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that three appraisals are <br />needed and were received. The first proposal <br />received was from R.E. Pitts & Associates, <br />Inc. in an amount of $3,500. The second <br />appraisal received was from Jerome E. <br />Michaels, MAI in an amount of $3,500. <br />These two appraisers will appraise the <br />parking lot adjacent to the Teachers Credit <br />Union building, which has an existing <br />parking garage lease. <br />The third appraisal received was from <br />Douglas L. Carpenter in an amount of <br />$150.00 to appraise a strip of land in the 100 <br />Block of Western Avenue. <br />The staff recommends accepting all three <br />appraisals. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Schwartz, seconded <br />by Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission accepted the proposals from <br />R.E. Pitts & Associates in the amount of <br />$3,500 and Jerome E. Michaels, MAI in the <br />amount of $3,500 for appraisal of the <br />Teachers Credit Union parking lot, and the <br />proposal from Douglas L.
