Chapin St., is <br />anticipated to be used for another house <br />move project. The two parcels will be <br />transferred to the Board of Public Works <br />and then subsequently transferred to the <br />South Bend Heritage Foundation. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Blake, seconded by <br />Ms. Schwartz and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission adopted Resolution <br />No. 1595 authorizing the transfer of real <br />property located in the West Washington - <br />Chapin Development Area to the South <br />Bend Board of Public Works. <br />c. Staff report on acquisition of property <br />401 <br />+ in the South Bend Central Development <br />Area. <br />Mr. Riggs stated that a counter offer was <br />received from Phil Kalamaros— general <br />partner for Limited Partnership which is <br />sole beneficiary of 1 st Source Land <br />Trust —with regard to a parcel of land <br />being acquired for the construction and <br />expansion of the Morris Performing Arts <br />Center. Redevelopment's original <br />purchase offer was in the amount of <br />$45,800. The counter offer is in the <br />amount of $57,864.50. The staff <br />recommends accepting the counter offer. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Schwartz, seconded <br />by Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission accepted the counter offer in <br />the amount of $57,864.50 <br />C -6- <br />COMMISSION ADOPTED RESOLUTION NO. 1595 <br />AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY <br />LOCATED IN THE WEST WASHINGTON - CHAPIN <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA TO THE SOUTH BEND <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />
