The depth of the compartment shall be calculated <br />with the compartment door closed. Closing of the door shall not require releasing, unlocking, <br />or unlatching any mechanism and shall easily be accomplished with one hand. <br />There shall be SCBA bottle storage in front of wheel well. <br />ROLL -UP DOOR, SIDE COMPARTMENTS <br />There shall be eight (8) compartment doors installed on the side compartments, double faced, <br />aluminum construction, manufactured by R.O.M. brand roll -up doors. <br />Door(s) shall be constructed using 1.00" extruded double wall aluminum slats which will <br />feature a flat smooth interior surface to provide maximum protection against equipment p <br />hang-up. The slats shall be connected with a structural driven ball and socket hinge designed <br />to provide maximum curtain diaphragm strength. Mounting and adjusting the curtain shall be <br />done with a clip system that connects the curtain to the balancer drum allowing for easy <br />tension adjustment without tools. The slats shall be mounted in reusable slat shoes with <br />positive snap -lock securement. <br />Each slat will incorporate weathertight recessed dual durometer seals.
