WHEELBASE <br />The wheelbase of the vehicle shall be no greater than 198.0 inches. YE O <br />GVW RATING <br />The gross vehicle weight rating shall be a minimum of 42,000 #. n <br />O <br />FRAME <br />The chassis frame shall be built with two (2) steel channels bolted to five (5) cross members YES O <br />or more, depending on other options of the apparatus. The frame rails shall be constructed o <br />120,000 psi yield strength heat -treated steel, with lifetime warranty. The frame shall be <br />painted white with rust inhibiter paint priorto assembly. <br />FRAME REINFORCEMENT YE NOThe frame liner shall be mounted inside of the chassis frame rail and extend the full length o <br />the frame. <br />FRONT NON -DRIVE AXLE <br />The front axle shall have a ground rating of 20,000 lb. maximum <br />The wheel ends must have little to no bump steer when the chassis encounters a hole or <br />obstacle. <br />The steering linkage shall provide proper steering angles for the inside and outside wheel, <br />based on the vehicle wheelbase. <br />FRONT SUSPENSION <br />Ground rating of 20,000 lbs. maximum. <br />OIL SEALS <br />Oil seals with viewing window shall be provided on the front axle. <br />FRONT TIRES <br />The front tires shall be Michelin XZU 315/80R22.50, 20 ply, rated for 19,840 lb maximum <br />axle load and 65 mph maximum speed. <br />The tires shall be mounted on Alcoa 22.50" x 12.25" polished aluminum disc -type wheels <br />with a ten (10)-stud, 11.25" bolt circle. <br />REAR AXLE <br />The rear axle shall be a Meritofr"% Model RS-25-160, with a capacity of 27,000 lb. <br />TOP SPEED OF VEHICLE kzam, v <br />A rear axle ratio shall be furnished to allow the vehicle to reach a top speed of 65 MPH but <br />geared to provide best performance when accelerating at low speeds. <br />REAR SUSPENSION YE/NO <br />Rear suspension shall be a Hendrickson Fire Max air ride with a ground rating of 27,000 lb. <br />The suspension shall have the following features: <br />Heavy-duty shock absorbers to protect air springs from overextension.
