The fire department shall provide <br />mount the pike pole. <br />'IKE POLE 6 IT, PROVIDED BY FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />NFPA 1901, 2009 edition, Section 5.8.3 requires one (1) 6 ft pike pole or plaster hook <br />mounted to the ladder rack. <br />The pike pole is not on the apparatus as manufactured. The fire department shall provide <br />mount the pike pole. <br />An Eberhard step or equal shall be provided on the driver's side front bulkhead. The step <br />shall be a bright finished folding type. <br />REAR FOLDING STEPS <br />Bright finished, non-skid folding steps shall be provided at the rear. Each step shall <br />incorporate an LED light to illuminate the stepping surface. The steps can be used as a hand <br />hold with two openings wide enough for a gloved hand. <br />Pump shall be a Waterous 5100/C20,1500 gpm single (1) stage rear mounted centrifugal <br />type. No exceptions. <br />Pump shall be the class "A" type. <br />Pump shall deliver the percentage of rated discharge at pressures indicated below: <br />- 100% of rated capacity at 150 psi netpump pressure. <br />- 70% of rated capacity at 200 psi net pump pressure. <br />- 50% of rated capacity at 250 psi net pump pressure. <br />Pump body shall be close -grained gray iron, bronze fitted, and horizontally split in two (2) <br />sections for easy removal of the entire impeller shaft assembly (including wear rings). <br />Pump shall be designed for complete servicing from the bottom of the truck, without <br />disturbing the pump setting or apparatus piping. <br />Pump case halves shall be bolted together on a single horizontal face to minimize chance of <br />leakage and facilitate ease of reassembly. No end flanges shall be used. <br />Discharge manifold of the pump shall be cast as an integral part of the pump body assembly <br />and shall provide a minimum of three (3) 3.50" openings forflexibility in providing various <br />discharge outlets for maximum efficiency. <br />The three (3) 3.50" openings shall be located as follows: one (1) outlet to the right of the <br />pump, one (1) outlet to the left of the pump, and one (1) outlet directly on top of the <br />discharge manifold. <br />Impeller shaft shall be stainless steel, accurately ground to size. It shall be supported at each <br />end by sealed, anti -friction ball bearings for rigid precise support. Impeller shall have flame <br />plated hubs assuring maximum pump life and efficiency despite any presence of abrasive <br />matter in the water supply. <br />Bearings shall be protected from water and sediment by suitable stuffing boxes, flinger rings <br />56 <br />
