NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />j. continued.... <br />study and the second proposal is from <br />Traffic Engineering Consultants in the <br />amount of $37,450, however, $9,100 of <br />Traffic Engineering Consultants' total fee <br />can possibly be reduced, depending on the <br />amount of traffic counts that can be <br />completed by City staff. <br />Mrs. Kolata commented that both <br />proposals were reviewed by Carl Littrell of <br />the Engineering Department and it is his <br />recommendation that the methodology <br />proposed by Traffic Engineering <br />Consultants is more appropriate, along <br />with the not -to- exceed fee of $37,450. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded <br />by Ms. Schwartz and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission accepted the proposal <br />from Traffic Engineering Consultants in <br />the amount of $37,450 for a traffic study <br />of streets in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area. <br />k. Commission approval requested for use <br />of the Morris Civic Plaza for the <br />"Holiday Tree Lighting." <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that a letter -of- request <br />was received from Paula Garis of the <br />Parks and Recreation Department for use <br />of the Morris Civic Plaza for the "Holiday <br />Tree Lighting" scheduled for December 4, <br />1998, at 5:30 p.m. <br />-17- <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL FROM <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $37,450 FOR A TRAFFIC STUDY OF <br />STREETS IN THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />
