t
a.
South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting - November 21, 1997
6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.)
c. continued....
the city, up to that point, continued to have
been with the Building Department, Fire
Department and the Engineering
Department to see that the project is
consistent with codes and is viable in
terms of remodeling and rehabbing the
building.
One of things that Mr. Moerlein's
remonstrance is based on, is to let their
building exist and if the quarter block is to
be acquired, then work with us. It has been expressed to my
client that there is need to demolish this
building and market it as a clean
development site. Our building can stand
alone without requiring any future
development for emergency egress,
utilities or other contingencies. We realize
the only minor premium in developing a
HAHOMETPHIPPS \WPDATATOMMSM 112197.MIN —8—
