Reports of basement flooding in East Wayne St. Historic District the night of July 3, 2017 July 4 Anyone take in basement water this morning c. 3 AM? July 4 We got water up the sewer drains from the storm, and we almost never get water. Drains clearing now and rain stopped. Thank goodness for the water sensor we put in since last August! July 4 Yes, don't know about the time. We're on 1600 block July 4 1700 block here and all of ours was ground water. Storm was from roughly 3-4 AM. Radar was totally clear except for red patch over South Bend. July 4 Yes -We are on Jefferson near Eddy and had water coming up through the drain,- around 3 — - am. Luckily we had installed a water sensor near the drain after the storm last August. We have not had water come up through the drain since August. I was already waking up from the storm when the alarm went off - such a heavy, heavy rain! We were able to close the drain, get rid of the water we had, and the drain starting clearing water around 3:20am?? Hope our neighbors didn't get hit too hard. Not an enjoyable pre- 4th of July surprise! July 4 1300 block of E. Wayne got it July 4 We got water on 1400 block. Even with the laundry tub shutoff valve closed, we still woke up to a full tub and sewage all over the floor in 4 rooms. We just moved in 2 years ago and the basement has flooded three times with over $20,000 in damage. We are sick of having mold growing down there! July 4 Luckily all clean water - we had a good amount - all drained and dried out now - thankfully! - installing heavy grade vinyl instead of carpet again on the basement floor after last August's storm was a brilliant decision if I have to say so myself! 1700 block July 4 Even with a new backup valve I have some water in basement. July 4 Yes, 1300 block got it, as well. Ugh. July 4 1200 block got it too. Awful! July 4 Just a little bit at 1700 block - all dry now, but quite the welcome back from vacation! July 4 We got it too. 1600 block. July 4 We had a small amount from the sewer drain. We're at 1100 block Wayne. July 4 Not that this makes anybody feel any better but it was all over the area. Bader and Greenlawn, Esther and Lasalle. also SunnyMede avenue. It's all over the place. Imagine how the people moving in on Madison near Greenlawn feel. They had a parade on their block to welcome them and a basement that flooded. Happy 4th July 4 We got sewage backup at 1400 block, E Jefferson:(. July 4 We did get water, no sewage fortunately. July 4 1 spoke with friends at Greenlawn and Bader. They got water but the house across the street who put in that new valve that the city paid half did not get water. the house next to her did get water. The
