person who installed it told the homeowner who bought it that as more people bought the back up
valves that more pressure would be put on the sewers of the people around them who did not have the
valve.
July 4 When my valve was put in last summer, the fellow from Lincoln Plumbing told me the same thing.
July 4 1400 block wet again, but it seemed to be mostly groundwater seeping up through the floor and
some forcing up past the closed drains. My rain gauge measured 2.5", so no wonder. Everything down
there is raised except the cat's rug and one box I was going through. Sigh.
Anyone have recommendations on sealing-type companies?
July 4 We've only been in our home on 1200 block of Wayne North for about a year, but we haven't had
any water issues--including nothing during the floods last August that hit quite a few people. The owners
before us said they never had basement issues either.
We have Everdry waterproofing.
Everdry was installed in our home at least two owners ago--so at least 10 years—and appears to still be
holding up well. The warranty is transferable to a new owner. We pay $50 a year at this point or
something like that.
That is just a yearly account fee NOT what the original people that put it in paid. That I have no idea on
the actual cost.
Someone mentioned that they think everydry is over priced and that may very well be the case. I don't
know the answer to that.
I just know we haven't had any issues. Maybe everdry is the reason or maybe we just gotten lucky.
We are rookie home owners so a lot of you know way more than us about what works and doesn't but
figured it couldn't hurt to at least mention!
Hope everyone has a great rest of your 4th of July!
July 4 We have EverDry and are well satisfied. We get water when there is a torrential rain, and the
water comes up the drain. Otherwise, our basement is dry and the walls are as well. I am planning to
check with Sean Burns to see if he can install a cut-off valve.
July 4 Yes, please. Getting ready to list my house in a few days. Floor in finished basement ruined once
again. This is a problem for us Realtors to explain when we are asked if there is a moisture issue.
July 5 1300 block E. Wayne South ... ground water only this time.
July 5 1 am in favor of requesting another meeting with Eric. He needs to hear that we took his advice, made
upgrades etc. and with 2 inches of rain (not the 100 yr rainfall) still had neighbors underwater. Curious if
anyone monitoring sensors due to holiday evening? 1400 block Wayne
