11 August Eight Environmental 106 Reviews. Met with Deacon Rodney Gadson about the <br />possibilities of landmarking the Church built in 1906 at 802 Van Buren. Composed a letter for <br />him to take to his board for their consent to begin the process. Collected additional data for CLG <br />Report and left message for Steve Kennedy DHPA to see if we can send it electronically. Two <br />RME COAs for roofing. <br />12 August Car into Central Services for possible repair to eliminate high pitched noise. <br />Responded to phone calls about the vacant lots and houses on East South Street that may be in tax <br />sales, one is owned by Redevelopment; to Chris Chockley about putting the Bartlett Round about <br />on die September Agenda; and Patrick Finnigan about die purchase by the Olivers of 901 and 903 <br />W. Washington and their subsequent demolition - currently still vacant lots. On site visit to 802 Van <br />Buren; the Chruch and attached parsonage is completely covered in aluminum siding which <br />explains why die Office didn't have a survey card on die property. There is nothing original <br />remaining on the facades. Met with Josh Kibel of Menora Financial Corp concerning die Singer - <br />South Bend Lithe National Register District. The Menora Group owns several apartments in <br />South Bend and is acquiring die Morningside Assisted Diving Facility. Made copies of information <br />from our files; information on tax credits; David Duval's contact information. Met with Josh at die <br />site to determine which buildings were left standing; he requested HPC's Contractor Lasting. <br />13 August Followed up with Josh Kibel with Contractors Lasting and Site Plan lie left behind. <br />Met with Kevin Hughes about options for his garage and backyard at 402 Manitou. Provided <br />Contractor Listing and other information. Phone Conversation with County Councilman Mark <br />Cantanzarte to clarify issues surrounding 803 W. Washington and that die HPC has the Facade <br />Easements and not the County; also his inquiry about the selection of the next Director. Routine <br />Office work and additional Contractor List sent to John Brady in East Wayne looking for interior <br />flooring replacements. RME for Tree Removal at 413 LaMonte per Brent Thompson. <br />14 August General Office work since I was the only Staff in Office. Prepared die rest of the <br />CLG Report electronically to be sent after Tim signs the letters. RME for Midland Roofing for <br />505 N. Lafayette. Meeting with Tim concerning the Office procedures that Elicia was not that <br />familiar with —such as the CLG Reports, National Register Staff Reports and bringing in a local <br />historic district. All of these have templates and timelines on the shared drive. Sent die CLG <br />Report to Steve Kennedy. <br />
