Director's Report August 2015 21 July Began cleaning out e -files and desk. Routine Office work. 22 July 2016 Budget Meeting with Auditor's Office, Mark Catanzarite and Deb Fleming. 23 July Meeting with Jitin Fain concerning anticipated changes to the City's Design Review Guidelines. 24 July Meeting with Ray Rodda of Marvin Windows and Doors and Mike Smith of Big C Lumber about products. Also discussed 307 LaMonte Terrace Window replacements. Attended North Liberty's Stellar Community Presentation to the State representatives. 27 July Sick Day 28 July Sick Day 29 July Completed 4 sections of the South Bend CLG Report. Issues with East Wayne Street and the Notre Dame Architecture students photographing houses. Homeowners upset. Adam Heet will set up a general meeting within 30 days for homeowners in all historic districts. 30 July Delivered the sets of letters for HPC/ CLG support to Mayor's Office and President of County Commissioners Office. Meeting with Kim Meyers of Meridian Title concerning the Legal description of City Cemetery. 31 July Submitted all fee reports. Continued work of CLG Report. 1 August Speaker at Martha M.M. Lewis Garden Dedication at Potawatomie Conservatories 3 August COA Deadline Day. Began Staff Reports. Worked on Notre Dame Campus Tour Route. 4 August Phone discussion with Margaret Fosmoe for article on Marquette School. Reconciled July Location Report with Office Records. Evening Tour of Notre Dame Campus 5 August Completed Stall Reports. On site photo documentation for 815 Arch. Routine Office Work. 6 August Discussion with Randy Wilkerson concerning the state of 224 Hammond Place in River Bend District. Routine Office work. Prepared and turned in August meeting mailings; and the payroll. Discussion with Liz Maradik about demolition of 1521 Ottawa Ct. in Lincoln Way East LHD. She submitted paperwork for September HPC meeting. 7 August Complied first 6 months of data for paper work for the $5,000.00 CDBG funds for HPC. Discussion with Ed of Code Department concerning 224 Hammond Place; lie said that die property manger(Hampshire Group, Inc, P.O. Box 502, South Bend 46624) was cited. Steve turned in 604 Carroll to Code. Evening Then& Now Tour 5:00- 6:30 -which lasted until 7:00, very interested group. 10 August Participated in die Finance Committee meeting for die History Museum. Met with Alicia Czarnecki, Intern with Engineering, concerning reconfiguring the Wier wall at the Jefferson Street Bridge to eliminate the blind corner. Should not affect the appearance of the bridge which is a contributing element in the Howard Park National Register District. Attended tour of the Avanti House at 5:00.
