Director's Report <br />May 2014 <br />22 April Follow up with Pam Meyer on HPC Report documenting the request for <br />additional funding from the City. Prepared approved COA for mailing. Contact with <br />Admas Remco about upgrade to copier. Contacted Anaelisha 574 855 4197 about her <br />house on Sherman. <br />23 April General Office work Arranged with Tim Sexton at Notre Dame for the <br />Lakeview Wesleyan Bus to go onto Campus for 24 April Tour. <br />24 April 10:30 Bus Tour the local historic districts plus Notre Dame for Marion, <br />Indiana Lakeview Wesleyan. Research on House at 1011 E. Madison. <br />25 April Attended PERF meeting for potential retirees. Historic Districts bus tour <br />between 4:00-6:00 pm. <br />28-30 General Office work. Preparations for Southhold Awards. MACOG <br />luncheon on 29 April. Issues resolved at 1105 East Wayne about the removal of the <br />asbestos roofing tiles and the installation of asphalt. Verified with Craig Taelman that <br />proper procedures were followed and that HPC Office had a copy of Waste <br />Managements Asbestos Waste Shipment/Disposal Record. Satisfied IDEM inquiry from <br />Doyle Hauser in the Angola Office (574 360 9270) following up on an anonymous caller <br />reporting the removal of asbestos. <br />1 May Southhold Awards. <br />2 May Cancelled Architectural Tours because of lack of PR from DTSB. General <br />Office work. Research for Annette Forte on 1011 E. Madison. Spoke with new <br />homeowner, Brian Pawlowski, of 1102 E. Wayne and will arrange a meeting in die near <br />future. <br />5 May COA deadline. Began to work on Commissioners packets. Reconciled <br />Location Report with Office Excel Spreadsheet. Arranging meeting with Shubhada <br />Kambli, Director of Code about the damage done to 1631 LWW, a local landmark, by the <br />Fire Department using it for training exercises. <br />6 May OFFICE Closed for Primary Elections. <br />7 May General Office work and Research for inquiries. Prepared for Transpo <br />meeting on 8 May. <br />8 May Meeting Chris Kubaszak and Mike Pancoast the resulted in t tour of the <br />various stops along the Transpo route to verify that there was no negative impact on <br />historic structures or sites within the Area of Potential Effects by the installation of new <br />
