14 August Environmental 106 Reviews on site with Steve Szaday for demolition <br />reviews. 1 for Rehab and 9 for Demolition; sent 2 of the demolition up to Code with <br />salvage recommendations. Composed final draft of letter of support for NICH proposal <br />for TIF funding for the Workers House. Met with Ian Lockwood and Ken Ryan of <br />AECOM in South Bend to propose the two way street conversions. Gave them copies of <br />the Leeper Park Report prepared by Westerly Group and the Standards booklet for <br />Leeper Park. Advised them that a roundabout in Leeper Park would be very problematic <br />as would die proposed expansion of Park Lane to allow for two way traffic to Lafayette. <br />15 August Attended the AECOM presentation for their concept for the two way street <br />conversion. On the whole the presentation was met with positive feed back; gave Ryan <br />some corrections to make in Leeper Park presentation. AECOM contributed greatly to <br />the revitalization of West Palm Beach Florida. Received notification that the entire Staff <br />received scholarships to attend 2013 National Preservation Conference in Indianapolis. It <br />only covers the Conference and one half day event; food and lodging would be Staff <br />responsibility. <br />16 August General Office work and follow up on the AECOM presentation. <br />Contacted Timothy Sexton at Notre Dame to clarify the use of the Notre Dame image in <br />the St. Joseph County Postcard series. Since it is a water color it is permitted for use that <br />does not require Notre Dame's permission. <br />19 August Meeting with Shubhada Kambli, Pam Meyers, Elizabeth Maradik and Steve <br />Szaday about getting HPC in the Code loop sooner with demolitions so that errors don't <br />occur in Districts or with Landmarks. As it stands now HPC will be cc'd on <br />correspondence to homeowner of a potential demolition candidate which will put an <br />earlier alert into HPC. Also, Scott Senff of SJC IT Department has created a draft report <br />of the data entry of HPC's landmarks and districts in the Lows Property Tax System. <br />
