Director's Report <br />August 2013 <br />15 July Picked up budget work sheets from Auditor's Office and verified 2014 <br />budget numbers. Prepared for HPC meeting. Began to compile data for the City Invoice. <br />Emily Voorde called from the Mayor's Office about his appointee to the Commission that <br />has been vacant for almost a year. Told her Michelle Gelfman had applied and is qualified <br />last August. HPC meeting. <br />16 July Prepared approved CO As for mailing to homeowners. Returned Anne <br />Montgomery's phone call about information for her North Triangle - Marquette Avenue <br />grant project that HPC committed 40 hours. E- mailed Ryan Dvorak to send letter of <br />support for Marquette School. Received Mary Ellen's e-mail on the conditions and <br />concerns that neighbors have about the erosion issues. Met with Kate Lee who is looking <br />for help on finding grant money for the St. James Cathedral expansion project. They <br />would like to construct an addition that would have an elevator and handicap accessible <br />lavatories to accommodate their parishioners and also permit the building to be used as a <br />Red Cross Center. The stored Tiffany window would be incorporated in the design. <br />Attended Green Drinks at Chuck Leone's Apartment project in the old Unity church. Two <br />of the four are occupied. Lively discussions with Jonathan Burke and Kathleen Pettijean. <br />Mayor was also there for a bit. Brenden Crumlish was the architect. <br />17 July Reviewed 43 106 Reviews for demolition. Reviewed Hamilton Church and <br />Cemetery National Register nomination for Dana Groves and Hannah Blad. Attended <br />Councilman Oliver Davis' 5:00 meeting on City Cemetery, that included a power point and <br />very well thought out means of getting the volunteers organized. <br />18 July Spoke with Councilwoman, Valerie Schey about what was needed for her <br />proposed slate roof replacement and e- mailed her the Contractor Listing. She lives in east <br />Wayne. Met with Joseph and Scott at Rink about the price points for the postcard packets <br />and individual cards and vendor on -line orders. Continued to work on City Invoice. Met <br />with Adam and Jennifer at Bond Hall Library concerning the "Urban Project ". <br />19 July Completed City Invoice and e- mailed to Pam Meyers, Scott Ford, Mayor <br />and Chris Fielding. Completed 18 106 Reviews for ramps. Contacted Code about the <br />open access at the rear of 523 S. St. Joseph. Brian Haygood responded that HPC could <br />board these sites up under the new Good Samaritan laws. Wrote Director's Report for the <br />week. <br />22 -31 July Basically dedicated all time to data input on the Lows Tax System to have <br />everything loaded prior to the Tax Sale. <br />25 July 9:00- 2014 Budget meeting with Auditor. Requested additional funding for <br />gas line item. Pete Mullin suggested that HPC Commission lobby the Mayor for more <br />funding from the City. <br />
