HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />PRESERVATION SPECIALIST REPORT <br />November 20, 2012 <br />It has been a very busy month. We have seen the weather yo-yo as a result of <br />which work on properties has not only been sporadic but also been akin to bandages on <br />open wounds. Needless to say there are many projects in process. It has been a month of <br />multiple visits to keep up on the work and aid in direction when needed. I am very proud <br />and excited to say that my intern and I have finished our surveys of South Bend local <br />landmarks as of today. This survey included photographing each landmark and detail <br />documentation of concerns or outstanding work. Over the next two weeks we will <br />complete the letters and forms and get those mailed to the property owners. We hope that <br />these letters will inspire projects that owners will be able to consider tackling in Spring. <br />We have decided to move the Restore Michiana workshop for wood floors to the <br />first quarter of 2013.
