15 February Turned in 801 Forest and 739 Leland to Building Department. Sent Councilman Oliver and e-mail requesting up to 15 minutes before the Zoning and Annexation Committee about the HPC. Attended a Parks Foundation Meeting on lunch hour with Heidi Gray and Andrew Schnabel. The Parks Foundation wants to make the Conservatories part of their mission. Spoke with Rev. Williams at WUBS who is interested in Marquette School as a Senior Driven Initiative—like Mishawaka's Battell Center. Researched 1621 Eldora Ct. for Building Department. Continued to research Ethan Allen Reynolds and family for St. Joseph County Parks. Finished arranging the EWS gateway replacement light with Marcia Qualls and Linda Riley. Attended the BSSB Board meeting at 5:30. 16 February Received an e-mailed invitation to tour Marquette School with Rev. Williams and Health professionals, community leaders and stakeholders at 11:00 on 23 February. Received notification from Shane at Global Access that Union Station would be the venue for Pride of Place and Southhold Awards. Notified Randy Kelly of DTSB. Completed the research for the owners of record for the West La. Salle National Register letters to go out before week's end. Spoke at length with Julie Johnson of 801 Forest after house was red tagged by Gary Goddard. Explaining again the procedures and encouraged her to call with any questions. Received $550.00 check from EWS that will go to Spring City Electrical for replacement luminaire. Advised John Marintez, on appropriate activities/projects for a Notre Dame student volunteer day at Leeper Park. 17 February Prepared Commissioners packets for mailing. Letter and check mailed to Spring City for EWS Luminaire. Prepared letter and enclosure to all homeowners of record in West La Salle National Register District and mailed out. Continued research on Reynolds family and the horse trough. Edward Reynolds has a memorial one in Leeper Park West that was relocated from the City Hall or Court House. Turned in 1118 E. Wayne for re -roof without permit or COA to building department. Spoke with Derek Dieter about a proposal for Central High School installation on the roof for security and communication systems. Participated in Events Committee meeting at the Conservatories for a black tie fall gala fundraiser for BSSB and ribbon cutting for 18 May. 20 February Presidents' Day. Office Closed. 21 February 7:30 Rotary Board Meeting, gave Foundation Report and update of Potawatomi Park from Rotary's involvement with Kids Kingdom, Chris Wilson Bad Shell and the Botanical Conservatories. Contacted Connie Tooley about the pending NR nomination for West La Salle. The apartment building at 601 she claims is filled with prostitutes and drug dealers.
