HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMNIISSION <br />PRESERVATION SPECIALIST REPORT <br />August 20, 2012 <br />Since our last meeting, we have completed the mailing of the survey letters to the <br />county portion of local landmarks. We have already received some feedback and have <br />been invited to come out and discuss issues with the property owners. Many of those that <br />contacted us were unaware that their property was even a landmark <br />There has been a serious increase in properties turned in to Code Enforcement. <br />Most of the ones involved with either yard or trash issues. There has also been an <br />increase in the amount of vacant houses in Taylor's field that have been broken into after <br />they have been boarded up or have simply been left unlocked and have become houses <br />for vagrants. 522, 523, 614, 616 all on S St Joseph Street.
