We are looking for compliance
with the minimum maintenance standards that have been approved by each district and each local landmark as well as the
building and standard codes of St. Joseph County. At least once a year, a foot tour is conducted to note the improvements or
deterioration of each structure.
The intention of this letter is to let you know of our concerns for your landmarked home. Your home is showing problems that
if not attended to in the near future will become costly and more difficult to repair. Please find attached a diagram which indi-
=t tes areas of concern. We would appreciate it if you would respond within thirty days of the date of this letter to confirm that
— e have reached the proper property owner. When it comes time to rectify these issues, please do so by submitting to us your
plan according to the guidelines outlined in the Minimum Maintenance Standards for landmarked homes. You will need to
complete the enclosed Certificate of Appropriateness application at that time. For your reference and convenience you may
view the Minimum Maintenance Standards at the following link: stioset)hcountyindiana .com/deDartments /SJCHP /guidelines/
guidelines.html
Please do not hesitate to call us with any questions or concerns. We do have sources through our office that can advise you on
techniques to solve these problems and hope that they will be of use to you.
