12. Studebaker /Bendix Heritage Trail- Approve directional signage at City sign shop. Locate <br />installation points for site signage. Dropping off a couple signs to Studebaker. Attend dedication <br />ceremony at corner of Washington /Michigan. <br />13. City Cemetery records digitizing project- Training Team Type over the duration of 3 training <br />sessions. Forward grant opportunity to SB Parks and begin working with Parks to prepare grant <br />application. <br />14. Downtown South Bend, Inc. First Friday's- Attend planning meeting. Planning for an ARTchitecture <br />Scavenger Hunt with Joel Barrett. <br />15. 100 year anniversary of the Kessler Parks and Boulevard Plan for South Bend -none. <br />16. Local Historic Districts tour -Tour text to partners for edits. Meeting with Kristina Craig to discuss <br />guide booklet content. Editing tour text. Working with Area Plan on maps again. Dropping of photos <br />to Kristina. Correspondence with multiple n'hood groups regarding inclusion on their agenda. <br />Prepare a Request for Historic Photos letters to tour site owners and mail to. Phone calls with owners <br />on tour. Scheduling n'hood meetings. Presenting tour info at Monroe Park n' hood meeting 8.16. <br />17. Vacant and Abandoned Housing Task Force - Preview agendas. <br />18. Then & Now: A Downtown Architecture Walking Tour - Promoting the cell phone tour. <br />19. Historic Preservation Funds Grant with Indiana Landmarks for a roof on The Kiser House at 803 <br />West Washington- Prepare Commissioner Permission letter. Answer questions for Commissioner <br />Kovach and attend Commission meeting. <br />20. Research on 533 Broadway for a phone caller and schedule a site visit. Discussion of site visit with <br />Steve. <br />21. Attend "Real Estate Redevelopment Training Event" offered by Fortune Builders, of the t.v. <br />program "Flip This House ". <br />22. Research on 121 West Colfax for an emailer. <br />23. City Cemetery ground scan - Correspond with Notre Dame professor Mark Schurr to schedule a <br />"ground penetrating radar" at the alleged site of the buried slot machines within the Kankakee Mill <br />Race site. Correspondance with Steve Nemeth of Parks, Travis Childs of Center for History and <br />Virginia Black of SBT. Prepare an invitation and send out to public officials and other interested <br />parties. Attend ground scan event. Field questions for the media. <br />24. Municipal Energy Week- Meeting with Jonathon Geels to discuss HPCs inclusion and role at the <br />event September 24 - 29. HPC will be giving several presentations and setting up an exhibit with <br />window demonstration. <br />2 <br />
