Toured the building and gave them information on landmarking which they had <br />requested. Also, gave them some advice on correcting some of the issues with their <br />building. Sent them the Contractors List via e -mail. Worked on RME -COA reports and <br />the Staff Reports for the August meeting. <br />Met with two members of the Studebaker Drivers Club and provided them with <br />information on the various walking tours and suggested a drive through Chapin Park <br />Historic District. <br />6 August COA deadline day and they came in at the last minute. Lunch with Kim <br />Bahnsen who has located to South Bend and is looking for work as an architect and is <br />interested in adaptive re -use. Suggested Bauer - Latoza near Gary. Had given her resume to <br />ADG and Kil. Began Staff Reports. <br />7 August Elicia and I met with Jonathan Geels of the Municipal Energy Department <br />about presenting at the September Energy Week 24 -29. Also on calendar is ribbon cutting <br />at Seitz Park for hydro - electric generator installation to meet the needs of Howard Park <br />Needs historic information. Took additional COA applications for August meeting. <br />Worked on Staff Reports. 6:00 BSSB Events Committee meeting for October Fund raiser. <br />8 August Day devoted to preparing Staff Reports. Began preparing Commissioners' <br />packets Mark Lyons came in with the Morris' request to add a sign to the rear of their <br />building. Prepared three 106 Reviews for rehab and senior living. Met Matt Leming at <br />608 Park at 5:30 to photograph interior windows. Also sent him link to HPC window <br />videos on You Tube. <br />9 August Elicia and I met with Todd Zeiger and Paul Hayden at Kizer House for <br />tour as location for 13 September debut of the Window Video. City Cemetery with Mark <br />Schurr of Notre Dame and his ground sonar to look for the slot machines rumored to be <br />buried there. Continued to prepare Commissioners' packets. Responded to Mark Lyons <br />that the Morris would need to apply for a COA. <br />10 August Commissioners' packets mailed and homeowner staff reports mailed out. <br />RME-COA for North Pumping Station for in kind repair work from John Wiltrout that <br />DLZ wanted to charge $2,000.00 to prepare and submit. On site 106 Reviews for NNN <br />revitalization projects on Cottage Grove and Lindsey. Attended 4:15 Library Board <br />meeting with Elicia, Tim and Michael Divita from Community and Economic <br />Development as we had been told that Don Napoli's proposal for the Avon was going to <br />be reconsidered. It wasn't on the Agenda. <br />13 August Follow up meeting ( from 17 July 2012) with Todd Zeiger and Bruce <br />Bondurant and Judy of the First Presbyterian Church concerning the Frederickson Candy <br />Store a deteriorating local landmark.
