Correspondence -Circulated. <br />2. Routine Maintenance Exclusion Approvals -Distributed. Discussion of RME <br />reporting related to City Foresters order to remove trees. Replanting of approved <br />removed trees to be discussed further at the December meeting. <br />3. Director's Report -Distributed. Discussion of Preservation Specialists position and <br />a contract for Steve Szaday. <br />4. Assistant Director Report -Distributed. <br />5. Preservation Specialist Report -Distributed. <br />6. Legal Counsel —Discussion of Steve Szaday's contract as Preservation Specialist. <br />On a motion by Jerry Niezgodski with a second by Kevin Buccellato to approve the <br />contract for Steve Szaday. Vote: 5-0. Approved unanimously. <br />Update on 803 West Washington Kiser House. Redevelopment Commission has <br />purchased the property and transferred to Board of Public Works to be transferred to <br />HLFI (Indiana Landmarks). <br />Edgewater request: on 509 and 557 Edgewater Drive. Review of records indicated a COA <br />granted for 557 Edgewater for a COA applied for in April, which was granted in May by <br />a 6-0 vote. It concerned an extension of the driveway allowing it to be enlarged up to the <br />edge of the sidewalk. Neighboring owner has a problem with the car parked in the <br />location. There is no other interpretation of the decision according to the COA and that <br />has been upheld by Code and the Building Department. Did not find a COA for the other <br />address at 509 Edgewater because it was an in-kind repair of a roof. <br />Working on access language to the COA application to adequately assess windows from <br />the interior because we have the obligation to either grant or deny a COA based upon the <br />condition of the material. It is necessary for us to go inside the house to make that <br />assessment. If we do not have that information, we cannot grant a COA. We do have the <br />7 <br />
