12. Grants - <br />a. Historic Preservation Education Grants 2011 -follow up with DTSB. <br />13. Attend Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Network Mayoral Roundtable. Attend <br />=hamber YPN Power Lunch: Jumping Into Social Media - What Your Company Needs to Know. <br />14. Researching into the new Michiana Lock and Key site at 621 E. Jefferson for'Jack Seifer who is <br />trying to reproduce the look of a historic locksmith. No photos were found but unveiling the building <br />yielded terra cotta. <br />15. Attend MACOG Partners for Clean Air Award Luncheon in which 3 awards were presented to: <br />City of South Bend, University of Notre Dame, and TRANSPO. Heard from representatives of NIPSCO- <br />Clean Air Activiites, Indiana Department of Environmental Management -Office of Air Quality, and <br />Indiana Department of Natural Resources -Division of Forestry. <br />16. Newly Mayoral appointed Commissioner, Mike Voll, visited HPC office. Talked with him about <br />Restore Michiana activities, his occupation as a history educator, City Cemetery, and Local Historic <br />Districts. Invited him to Energy Audit. <br />17. Assisted homeowners of 916 Riverside Drive with researching their house. Made copies from the <br />file. <br />18. Forward a picture of City Cemetery gate from our files to Marcia Qualls for Urban Adventure use. <br />19. Investigation of each Local Historic Districts using social media to communicate. Set up a <br />platform for this experiment in facebook: http://www.facebook.com/hpclocalhistoricdistricts#!/ <br />=10. East Wayne Street -searching for historic photograph of entry. <br />21. Downtown South Bend EcoFest June 18- Looking into feasibility of exhibiting this year <br />22. Attend Convention & Visitors Bureau "Be a Tourist in Your Own Town" bus tour. Sites included: <br />Studebaker National Museum, Copashaholm, Tippecanoe Place, South Bend Chocolate Factory, <br />and Notre Dame. Networking with mostly hotel professionals (thatlliew next to nothing about Historic <br />Preservation, but I enlightened them O). <br />23. Phone call with Lynette Jones, Real Estate Appraiser about Local Landmarks. Followed up with <br />an email directing her to HPC webpage. <br />24. Forward Sue Solmos, City of South Bend, discussions from the NAPC forum on MLS listings and <br />Realtor education. <br />2 <br />
