13 June Participated in NICH Finance Committee Audit findings meeting. <br />Followed up with the following homeowners: Kevin Burke at 933 Riverside with <br />-Contractors' Listings for plaster work; Realtor Steve Bizzaro on 304 Navarre for exterior <br />stucco work suggestions and follow up on 1615 E. Wayne roof issue. Presented BSSB <br />Comments in favor of Mayor's capital spending program for the Conservatories at <br />Potawatomi at the Common Council meeting. <br />14 June Attended the County Commissioners Meeting that confirmed Alice <br />McLane as a Commissioner to the HPC. E-mailed all interested parties. Completed 106 <br />Review paperwork for Grant in Walkerton. Arranged with Joe Bauer at 1426 E. Wayne <br />for COA link after receiving Brent Thompson's OK to remove the tree. Followed up on <br />emails about the East Wayne Entrance Wall repairs: work should begin this week and be <br />completed by end of month. Contacted Ted Poledor (234 8376)with iron workers <br />contact information. <br />15 June Posted all meeting notices. Received phone call from Ericka Popovich <br />about setting up informational meetings with neighborhoods about the Emerald Ash <br />Borer. She has a power point presentation and would also like to meet with neighbors <br />and tour the neighborhoods and help those with infested trees. East Wayne does have <br />Ash trees. Meeting with Tim about Marquette and Derek was a no-show. Let voice <br />message on Ted Poledor's answering machine for Custom Steel Design 260 768 7268 as <br />another resource for his wrought iron fence issue from when the City redid Marion Street. <br />16 June Met with Tim Johnson et al. along with Steve and Wayne to follow up <br />with tree removal by AEP at 307 LaMonte, running the electrical service underground <br />and preparing the site for the construction of a new garage. He will submit plans and <br />elevations for the July meeting. The original garage was demolished years ago. Worked <br />with Linda Riley and City Clerk's Office to have paperwork to Jennifer Born for <br />Common Council appointment. Wayne's last day before 3 weeks off for surgery. Will <br />follow up on 1112 E. Wayne with Steve. <br />17 June Routine Office work and payroll. Edited Then and Now Tour. John <br />Lentz, former Deputy Auditor passed away of an apparent heart attack at 66. <br />19 June Midwest Torah Center Fund Raising Dinner. Met Karen and Carl Marfurt <br />owners of two historic homes, one at 50017 Chestnut and the other in Edwardsburg. Will <br />send information on Chestnut when they send mailing address. Send Local Contractor <br />list via e-mail. <br />20 June Followed up on Marfurts' requests. Prepared for HPC meeting. Turned in <br />Wayne's paperwork. Approved and issued RME COA for Mr. Bauer's tree removal at <br />1426 E. Wayne. Stopped in at the funeral home for John Lentz. Photographed utility <br />box on West North Shore and Lafayette. It is painted crayon green -and does stick out <br />like a sore thumb. <br />5 <br />
