District. Received Mike Voll's inquiry into the Republican Commission positions. <br />Discussion with Larry Meteiver concerning the Commission holding window workshops at <br />a for profit (Lang Lab) -we can. Also discussed about the appointment of Commissioners <br />who are Independents or Libertarians and not just limiting Commissioners to the <br />Republican or Democrat parties. Met with Larry Magliozzi of Area Plan about the <br />Tabulation Tables - Real ProDertv Survev - Works Proaress Administration - South Bend. IN — <br />1936 that he discovered in their archives. Suggested David Bainbridge at NICH and Liz Dube at <br />Notre Dame for ideas on how to digitize and preserve the original information. Meeting with <br />Catherine Topple about the concentration of Gross & Cohen Housing vis a vis the South Bend <br />Ordinance of no more than 2 unrelated people living in the same house. Also discussed were <br />landlord registration and the Supreme Court's rulings regarding privacy rights of landlords and <br />tenants. Participated in a Granger Paths meeting held at local landmark 14309 Adams Road <br />concerning the Troyer proposal to create a 10 foot wide multi use pathway connecting the <br />various neighborhoods in Granger. This will impact landmark at 13271 Adams placing the ten <br />foot wide path 32 feet from owner Mike Wheeler's front door. We support Mike's objection to the <br />scale of the path and would like to see it narrowed on his property. <br />10 February Followed up.with e-mails to Chris Waidner of The Troyer Group and Michael <br />Wheeler of 13271 Adams Road. Reminded Charlie Kirkpatrick that we still had not received his <br />letter on 537 Edgewater to accompany the COA application. Spoke with Mike Voll about the <br />Commissioner's position; he will send a letter and resume. Delivered an annotated City Survey to <br />Circa Arts for payment; had the 1912 Kessler plan evaluated for conservation; photographed all <br />of the homes owned by Gross & Cohen in East Washington N.R. on the tax rolls for letter. <br />Informed Jim Monroe, Morris Facilities Director of Russ Luchie's contact information for an <br />evaluation of the north brick wall. After hours meeting with the Botanical Society at the <br />Conservatories. <br />11 February Turned in payroll, voucher for January postage and gave Area Plan a copy of all <br />the new district guideline books and the 2005 City and County Survey. Contacted Charlie <br />Kirkpatrick again for letter. Organized 106 Reviews from 2009 and 2010; organized and stored <br />Office files, budgets, expenditures, 106 Reviews and payroll for 2009 and 2010. <br />14 February Began preparing Staff Reports for February HPC meeting. Participated in the <br />Finance Committee meeting at the Northern Indiana Center for History. <br />15 February Worked on staff reports and RME report. Set Agenda. Completed 2 106 Reviews <br />for grants. Attended Area Plan meeting concerning 5032 Miami Street and the proposed Farm <br />Bureau building. Contacted John Embrickson's department about the new fissures in the storage <br />room concrete floor. <br />16 February Completed Staff Reports. Copies for Commissioners. Spoke with Greg Jones . <br />about the LaSalle Hotel and sent out a mailing with letter and information on the site and tax <br />credits. Received new sign proposals from Art Works Randy Whiteman; he requested a letter of <br />support for the variance for the signs at Highland and Riverview for the April 6 meeting. Staff <br />will be at Preservation Conference. Reconciled January Location Report and sent corrections to <br />Kathleen Sobecki, Auditor's Office. <br />17 February Meeting with County Engineer, Jessica Clark concerning Granger Paths proposal <br />10 foot multi -use path system and the land marked Adams Road Snyder Farm; the federally <br />funded project must meet the ADA requirements so that path must stay at 10', however, it may <br />be able to be positioned 5' south leaving it 37' from the front door, the County could also provide <br />landscape screening.
