Assistant Director's Report HPC Meetina 08.15.2011 <br />1. National Register Nomination - <br />a. City Cemetery- <br />b. Marquette School -Begin to organize the extremely large file so that Kurt Garner will find it to <br />_�e efficient (and not think we are crazy). Correspondence with Kurt to set a day /time to review the <br />file. <br />c. Haven Hubbard Home - Review CLG procedures as provided by SHPO. Review template, <br />letters, etc. prepared by Catherine. <br />2. Attend 07.18.2011 HPC meeting, prepare draft of minutes and forward to Commissioners. Revise <br />as requested. Print minutes from July meeting for August meeting. Print commissioner and liaison <br />mailing labels. Assemble Commissioner packets and mail. <br />3. Internships -Draft Resolutions for Internships and forward to Staff, President and Council for review. <br />Print off pretty Resolutions on certificate paper. Celebrate the Interns with a farewell lunch at <br />Tippecanoe Place. Shopping at County Surplus warehouse to select more office furniture, filing, etc. <br />Prepare job descriptions for fall 2011 internships. <br />a. Resource Library Books - Collecting more stuff to be cataloged. Begin re- shelving after <br />rearranging shelves. Working with Mary Lou to re- shelve random books, fine tune the categories, and <br />finalize her work. <br />b. Resource Library Flat Files- Collecting more stuff to be cataloged. Working with Rachel to <br />finalize her work. <br />c. Local Landmarks - Working with Megan to cross reference the digital file with the physical <br />folders. Made a disturbing discovery *ask for details, if interested. Working to get said disturbing <br />discovery resolved. Working with Megan to finalize her work. <br />d. Preservation Specialist- Continue organizing office. Assisting Steve and Mary Lou with the <br />fainting and reorganizing of the Resource Center. <br />4. RMS 2010 -2011 Window Restoration Production - Continue working on SCRIPT. Reading, Workina. <br />Windows: A Guide to the Rer)air and Restoration of Wood Windows. Forward SCRIPT for review to Tim <br />K, Todd Z., Paul Hayden, Wayne D., and Steve Szaday. Correspondence with Richard Spigelmyer <br />regarding a second and final editing session. Correspondence with Andrea of Grass Roots Media <br />regarding production schedule. Revising SCRIPT based on review comments. Trip to Dowagiac with <br />Wayne to meet with Richard and John for a final editing session. Meeting with Andrea of Grass Roots <br />Media regarding the SCRIPT. Scheduling a time for Wayne to begin the voice over recording. <br />Finalizing SCRIPT. <br />5. Restore Michiana Series 2011 - <br />a. Updating www.RestoreMichiana.com website. <br />b. Staff Reports - <br />a. 1340 E. Wayne S. -Faxed COA application to homeowner, Ellen Stolte regarding roof <br />replacement. Received COA application from contractor.
