Studebaker /Bendix Heritage Trail- Correspondence with Steve Nemeth of Parks Department <br />wegarding adding an interpretive panel & /or signage at the site of the demolished Studebaker <br />mausoleum. <br />10. 317 W Washington, Central High Apartments RME #2011 -0331- Prepare field observation report for <br />Accurate Construction. Forward to Staff and Commissioners for comment. Revising report, forward <br />to Legal Council for comment. Receive Accurate Construction RRP Certification via email. <br />Correspondence with Faith Slaughter and Mike of Accurate regarding pickup of the approved Field <br />Observations copy. <br />-- - - 11. Identify -a few potential Local Landmarks and prepare letters. <br />12. Accompany Roger Chrastil of WNIT to research the topic of prohibition at the SJCPL Local Family <br />History department. Introduce him to Heather Yarborough, owner of Chicory Caf6 who studied this <br />topic as a History student at IUSB. <br />13. Neighbors Against Bad Bugs - forward an invitation to attend a tree tagging event to North Shore <br />Triangle contacts and larger listsery on behalf of Ericka Popovich of the Purdue Extension Service. <br />14. Grants - <br />a. Historic Preservation Funds - Review procedures, requirements, etc. Meeting with Tamara <br />Nicoll -Smith of DTSB regarding potential projects. Correspondence with Todd Zeiger regarding <br />potential projects. Correspondence with Malia of DHPA regarding grant applications and specifics. <br />iscussion with John Freidline regarding potential grant funds for the Kaiser House at 803 West <br />ashington. Studying Acquisition and Development Grant Application Packet. Preparing a letter to <br />Mr. Freidline regarding HPC procedure. Correspondence with Commission Pres regarding Letter of <br />Support procedure. <br />15. Assisting the Notre Dame Architecture Department with locating a unique and uncommon place <br />in a vintage building to have a catered dinner for the speakers of "Seaside at 30 ", a conference on <br />New Urbanism, on a request by Samantha Salden. Touring the potential locations with Samantha <br />and Jennifer Parker, conference planners. Potential locations included: Center for History, LangLab <br />1302 High Street, Potowatomi Conservatories, South Bend Civic Theatre, Museum of Art permanent <br />gallery, Summit Club, Palais Royale, Double Tree /First Source atrium, IUSB Civil Rights Heritage Center <br />at the Engman Natatorium, Woodward Room. <br />16. 1322 Lincolnway East - Discuss siding project with homeowner. Correspondence with HPC <br />Architectural Historian, Dave Steinhauer regarding siding and energy efficiency. <br />17. 1232 Lincolnway East, Muessel House - Discuss roof project with homeowner. <br />18. Receive two COA applications for the 400 block of Lamonte Terrace in Chapin Park. <br />19. Research for Jeff Dierbeck to determine if Indiana has a law regarding tearing down vintage <br />barns.
