Responded to Erin <br />Blasko's email on Preservation Saves. <br />3 -8 August Vacation <br />9 August 802 Forest RME -COA for roof repair work; 1425 E. Wayne REM -COA <br />for asphalt re -roof. Review 3 -8 August activities with Staff members. Prepared for 2012 <br />budget hearings. Contacted Jason Pfledderer new owner of 815 Arch that work on the <br />river would need a permit from the DNR and that any tree/brush removal along riverbank <br />would need to be cleared by City Forester, Brent Thompson. <br />10 August Review Area Plan Commission Agenda of items affecting Historic <br />Properties. Met with Dave Lillich of Sherriff Goslin concerning roof at 924 Park advised <br />him that the re -roof would have to come before die Commission on Monday. Contacted <br />homeowners as well. <br />11 August On site visit to Dave Mesecar's, 834 Park, to get better picture of proposed <br />window. Toured Chapin Park and River Bend and NNN projects. Presented and <br />successfully defended HPC 2012 Budget with County Commissioner Kovach and <br />Councilmen Catanzarite, Root, Nolan along with new Deputy Auditor, Teresa Shuter. <br />Elicia should get the raise that the Commission approved. Researched information for <br />Paul Diebold, Team Leader at DNR for the Survey, on the I &M site. Will photograph and <br />send to him on Friday. <br />12 August. On site visit to Chapin Park for 624 Park Staff Report and inclusion on <br />Agenda to verify windows on survey card as original. On site visit. to 305 W. Navarre for <br />Gene Forsythe's inquiry about replacement storm windows; verified that current storm <br />xvindows arc aluminum replacement windows and that an RME COA can be issued for the <br />white finished metal triple track storm windows. Went to the I &M site and photographed <br />the Commerce Center, the Transformer House. The garage is gone. Attended Michiana <br />History Group luncheon at the NIGH. Issued REM -COAs for tree removals per Brent <br />Thompson. Picked up brochures for Now and Then tour for Saturday's tour. <br />15 August Due to rain the Now & Then tour was postponed to 9 September; returned <br />the portable microphone and speaker to DTSB. Participated in the Finance Committee <br />meeting at the NICH. Also Communicated with David Relos about the LaSalle Hotel, the <br />Kalamazoo Group is still working on tax credits and should have an answer next month, <br />and on 803 W. Washington, which lie feels is dead in the water since the City will not buy <br />it from John Freidline until there is a confirmed end user for the site. <br />
