June 14 Participated in Finance Committee meeting for NICH. <br />June 15 On site visits to 1238 E. Wayne South and 1204 East Wayne concerning <br />Champion window replacements. Dropped off additional Historic District brochures to <br />Champion Windows for distribution to sales reps. On site 106 photos on Corby. On site <br />visit to repair work on Forest. Issued and mailed RME/COA for 1238. Vistied with Steve <br />Kohler about the deterioration, spalling and missing bricks on the south side of the Dean <br />Building. He said that they were having difficulty in finding a suitable match, suggested <br />using a bark faced yellow brick to match previous patch work on the south side. Also, <br />reflected his concerns/complaints about this property being over assessed and taxed to <br />Community and Economic Development. Contacted Morgan La Fleur, John Friedline's <br />assistant, and left voice mail message about his properties on William and West <br />Washington. <br />June 16 Posted meeting notices. Completed 10 106 Reviews. Turned 230 Navarre <br />into Code after neighbor's complained of open back door, debris and raccoons. Office had <br />reported this as a problem property previously in the month. Received voice mail from <br />Morgan La Fleur to contact her after 10;00 on Thursday. <br />June 17 Spoke with Morgan La Fleur about 412 William for work done with <br />building permit but not COA. Sent her a copy of Chapin Park Guidelines. Spoke with <br />Chuck Bulot about the work at 412 and he admitted the oversight; but also that additional <br />work was performed that was not covered under the building permit. Provided Tim Wall <br />information on Walker Field House and Immanuel United Methodist Church for 106 <br />Review of Ewing Avenue Reconstruction. Completed eight 106 Reviews for Real Services <br />"aging in place" grants. <br />June 18 Met with owner Chris Chockley of 803 Ashland concerning proposed work <br />on house. Wayne accompanied the owners for an on-site inspection of proposed work and <br />what could be approved as routine repair and maintenance. Met with three members of the <br />Grossmann family from Chicago and provided them with information on John F. Ullery <br />and the farms in Portage Prairie. <br />
