Assistant Director's ReDort HPC Meetina 06.21.2010 <br />1. City Cemetery National Register Nomination -Working on it. Reading <br />other cemetery nominations for comparison. Searching for guidelines on <br />how to write a narrative description. Scan in large maps of cemetery <br />additions at Area Plan. Walk through cemetery with Dave Steinhauer, <br />Architectural Historian to determine architectural features. Survey <br />cemetery site and take photographs. Soliciting sources for historic <br />photographs. Formatting historic maps and fitting puzzle pieces together. <br />Sifting through file provided by Mary Prince of South Bend Tribune <br />Archives. <br />2. Green Weekend -Working on 3-D soda can/demolition statistic. Meeting <br />with Jennifer Gregar to begin booth design and RM series advertising. <br />Meeting with Lisa, IN Landmarks intern to explain GW and get her <br />involved. Prep for the big weekend. Exhibiting on Friday and Saturday of <br />GW. Attend luncheon with Walmart. Picking up the pieces after the <br />weekend -following up with inquiries, etc... <br />3. Gather research on St. Casimir Parish for Roger Chrastil of WNIT. Meet <br />with him to go over St. Casimir info also discussed HPC involvement at <br />WNIT open house and our future events at there site. <br />4. HPC brochure -visit Lighting Litho to approve proof. Pick up brochures. <br />5. Restore Michiana Series -Conversations with EPA regarding RRP Lead <br />Certification lecture. Identify and contact potential partners. Prepare <br />advertising for Green Weekend. Work with Lisa, IN Landmarks intern to <br />create a year'of events calendar and flyer for Energy Audit wksp. Restore <br />the Restore Michiana website and begin design. Planning for advertising <br />for the Energy Audit workshop. <br />6. Prepare 05.17.10 HPC meeting minute draft and forward to <br />Commissioners. Revise as requested. Print minutes for June meeting. <br />7. Trip with Wayne and Catherine to old Oliver Playground (new Kroc <br />Center site) to talk with the privy digger to see what he has dug up. Also <br />to the Synagogue on William Street to talk with the IUSB archeology class <br />that is doing a site excavation to see what they have dug up. <br />8.
