the December meeting. Spoke to John Lox of South Bend Silver and Gold about the <br />facade work he proposed on the storefront of the JMS building and the signage. Advised <br />that his architect will need to apply for a COA for work. Completed three 106 Reviews. <br />7 December Followed up with Patrick Henthorne on COA specifics on historic <br />lighting options and proposed materials for path way. Reconciled Location Report and <br />faxed Requisitions to encumber funding. Prepared Staff Reports for December HPC <br />meeting. On site visit to River View Cemetery to photograph the installed lighting. On site <br />visit to Riverside Drive and Angela area for photographs. Also passed by House of <br />Squalor on Leland featured in S.B. Tribune. Completed five 106 Reviews. <br />8 December Staff Reports for the 20 December HPC meeting. Contacted Tim <br />Wall via e-mail with HPC's comments on the Ewing Street Improvements. Completed two <br />106 Reviews. <br />9 December Completed Staff Reports and RME-COA Reports for <br />Commissioners' meeting packets. Followed up on various inquiries for information on <br />houses and local districts. <br />10 December Followed up on e-mail request for John Freidline on information on <br />Easement for 803 W. Washington and JMS Building. Mailed packets and sent agendas <br />and staff reports to applicants. Spoke with Larry concerning John Freidline's easement <br />issues. Arranged to meet with 2 ND students doing some research for class. <br />13 December Completed research for information and composed letter to John <br />Freidline. Met with building commissioner, Chuck Bulot and gave him copy of letter. <br />Chuck also said that he had an issue pending with him as well concerning the house on <br />410-412 Williams as a clerical error occurred allowing him to install 3 meters. The <br />Building Department informed him of the error and is requiring him to return it to single <br />family. Office research visit from Caitlin Smous and Joe Hiben. Spoke with the "owner" <br />(problematic deed) of the burned out, land -marked Firehouse #4 on Thomas Street and <br />assured him that HPC will be at the Code hearing requesting demolition to support his <br />case to continue to restore the structure. Followed up via e-mail with Ryan Dvorak and <br />Mary Ellen O'Connell on 219 W. North Shore and other neighborhood concerns. <br />14 December Office supply inventory to prepare requisition for balance of 2010 <br />Office Supply Funds. Spoke with John Machowiak about the window replacement option <br />for Fire House #9 and arranged to meet with Jesse Starke of BEE Window on 15 <br />December. <br />15 December On site visit to Fire House #9 met with Chief Andy Petrie, John <br />Machowiak at 1:30 and Jesse Starke (he was an hour late!) at 2:30 to see the proposed <br />replacement window. Since John signed the continuation for COA#2010-1101 and the <br />BEE Window Anderson option appeared to be acceptable we will put it on the Agenda for <br />the 20 December meeting, both Jesse and John will be there. Returned John Freidline's <br />phone call and left a message on his voice mail. <br />
