Director's Report <br />December, 2010 <br />15 November Met with Councilwoman Ann Puzzello at HPC Office about the <br />South Bend Maennerchor Club and its possible connect to St. Joseph Parish. Issued a <br />RME COA to Tom Price for a Roof for 1049 Riverside Drive. Provided research for <br />Desiree Andrew on 527 Lafayette that she is renting to own. Provided Chapin Park <br />information for homeowner of 309 W. Marion. HPC monthly meeting. <br />16 November Issued and mailed approved COAs. Contacted John Machowiak of <br />the City of South Bend and faxed him the waiver for Fire Station #9. He apologized <br />profusely about the mix up. E-mailed the South Bend Tribune the HPC meeting schedule <br />as well as Helen Witucki and Marsha Qualls for the meeting room and security. E-mailed <br />Libby from Champion the 2011 schedule and deadlines. Contacted St. Anthony's about <br />22 November presentation to the Third Grade class on local history. Completed and <br />submitted fifteen 106 Reviews. <br />17 November Met with Carl Brunson owner of 655 River about proposed work on <br />the house. Wayne met with him on -sight to review projects with him. Provided additional <br />information on 527 N. Lafayette from our files on architects. Conversation with Ted Fod <br />of Memorial Hospital on preservation in general and current medical concerns with the <br />building of the Oncology and Children's Hospital. <br />18 November Began to organize materials for Third Grade presentation. Spoke <br />with Scott Peacock about this work on 1231 East Wayne South and had a copy of the <br />COA in the building department for his window permit. Followed up with Mary Jo Filipek <br />at St. Anthony's. BSSB meeting from 5:30-7:30. <br />19 November Spoke with property manager, Morgan La Fleur, about the JMS <br />Building signage and 803 W. Washington. Contacted Building Department about sign on <br />626 Portage. Turned in payroll. Finished prep work for presentation. <br />22 November Reviewed Area Plan Agenda for historic sights or landmarks Spoke <br />with Mark Lyons about the sign at 626 Portage. Completed nineteen 106 reviews. <br />Organized for absence for surgery. Made presentation to 34 third graders at St. Anthony's. <br />23 November -3 December Sick Leave for surgery and Thanksgiving Holiday <br />6 December Met with Patrick Henthorne concerning City COA for lighting on <br />Angela Bridge, Round about at the Angela and Riverside Intersection and pathway from <br />Riverside Drive through Shetterly Park. Prepared Requisitions for encumbering funds for <br />over year's end to pay for 2010 expenses billed in January. Met with Bob Grant for <br />window replacement at local landmark 557 Edgewater and issued RME-COA for in-kind <br />replacement windows. Met with Mr. Pietrzak and Mr. Brunson to accept their COAs for <br />
