Loughman or her daughter, Edith Miller. Martha G. Loughman was the widow of George Loughman who was active in local Republican politics as a Councilman for the 5the ward between 1879-1881, Mayor of South Bend between 1884 and 1886 and County Auditor in 1894. The residence remained in the Miller family until 1962 when it was sold to Ida and Fred Auer. The current owner is Mr. Michael Pfeil.
