They sold the house a year later to Joseph Heick but they continued to live in the house until 1938. Eventually the property fell into the hands of the Home Owners Loan Company who sold it to Clarence Thomas in 1942. Mr. Thomas was a private truck owner for the Brodbeck Trucking Company.
