South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - June 6, 1997 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />a. continued.... <br />stated that at the May 16, 1997 meeting, <br />the Commission took certain actions that <br />allowed the lease purchase bond to move <br />forward along with the lease agreement <br />between the Redevelopment Commission <br />and the Redevelopment Authority. The <br />bond issue required that a public hearing <br />be held today. If the Commission acts on <br />the Resolution today, the Common <br />Council will hold a public hearing on <br />Monday, June 9, 1997 to consider <br />approval of the lease agreement between <br />the Redevelopment Commission and the <br />Redevelopment Authority. If the bond <br />issue and the lease agreement are <br />approved by the Common Council, a <br />petition will be filed with the State Tax <br />Board for review of the lease and other <br />documents on June 25, 1997. <br />She stated that the lease sets a maximum <br />payment of $1,390,000, per year in semi- <br />annual installments. <br />Ms. Kolata stated that she received a <br />letter from Cleo Hickey, Director of the <br />Morris Civic Auditorium, stating her <br />support of the project.
